Made by hand in Asheville, NC since 2004, each jar is crafted in small batches using the original formula developed by Cara and Michelle. About the Makers
Cara Nicole Steinbuchel, Founder and CEO, is a professional potter and co-creator of Potters’ Skin Butter. She splits her time between making lotion, engaging with customers, and creating art. On weekends, she enjoys outdoor adventures, attending art events, and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle Rogers, Chief Operations Officer, oversees production and operations at Cara Mae Skin Care, ensuring every batch is made efficiently and shipped on time. Classically trained in culinary school, she brings precision, care, and joy to the lotion-making process. Michelle enjoys hiking, spending time in the woods, listening to music, and reading.
