Camp Cushion Large

Moonrise Project recently worked on a project with a well known sock manufacturer, a project that involved collecting used wool socks, cleaning them, and having them ground into fill. We’ve taken what was left after the project and made these comfy camp cushions for your backyard, car and camping adventures.

Each cushion features their “American Boro” patchwork top, water-resistant aircraft cover sides, and a highly water-resistant vinyl bottom. As ever, all materials are upcycled scrap left over from our regular manufacturing.

The theme for this run of Camp Cushions is the night sky. They’ve grouped their scrap materials together into shades of gray, black, midnight blue, and a little bit of white – and then stitched it all together using their “American Boro” technique to create an abstract patchwork* that evokes the star-lit darkness of the forest at night.
